The chemokine C-C motif ligand 2 (CCL2), also known as monocyte chemoattractant protein 1 (MCP1) and small inducible cytokine A2, is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family. CCL2 plays a crucial role in regulating cellular mechanics and recruiting monocytes, memory T cells, and dendritic cells to sites of inflammation caused by tissue injury or infection. It is primarily secreted by monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells, with platelet-derived growth factor being a major inducer of the CCL2 gene.

Human CCL2/MCP-1 ELISA Kit Principle

This Human CCL2/MCP-1 ELISA Kit is based on sandwich ELISA, the CCL2/MCP-1 specific monoclonal antibody was pre-coated in the microwells, the CCL2/MCP-1 in sample or the CCL2/MCP-1 standard will be captured by the coated antibody, after wash step, the unbonded CCL2/MCP-1 will be removed, and then another CCL2/MCP-1 specific monoclonal antibody is added and incubated. After then, the plate is washed again, and the substrate is added. The color of the wells is positively proportional to the CCL2/MCP-1 in it. After adding the stop solution, OD values are measured with ELISA reader. Unknown samples can be calculated from the standard curve.

Kit Components

This Human CCL2/MCP-1 ELISA kit is a readily commercial product, it has the following components, which is sufficient for 42 testing in duplicated wells. Specificity and sensitivity

The sensitivity is 0.03-0.04 pg/mL as MDD. The specificity is over 99%.

Result determination

The sample OD value is measured by an ELISA reader, then the standard curve is plotted. We recommend 4PL regression model or another equivalent model.

Storage and expiry

2-8 degree Celsius for at least 12 months.
