Interleukin 10 (IL-10), also known as human cytokine synthesis inhibitory factor (CSIF), is an anti-inflammatory cytokine. IL-10 is a cytokine with potent anti-inflammatory properties that plays a central role in limiting host immune response to pathogens, thereby preventing damage to the host and maintaining normal tissue homeostasis. Dysregulation of IL-10 is associated with enhanced immunopathology in response to infection as well as increased risk for development of many autoimmune diseases. Thus, a fundamental understanding of IL-10 gene expression is critical for our comprehension of disease progression and resolution of host inflammatory response.

Mouse IL-10 ELISA Kit Principle

This Mouse IL-10 ELISA Kit is based on sandwich ELISA, the IL-10 specific monoclonal antibody was pre-coated in the microwells, the IL-10 in sample or the IL-10 standard will be captured by the coated antibody, after wash step, the unbonded IL-10 will be removed, and then another IL-10 specific monoclonal antibody is added and incubated. After then, the plate is washed again, and the substrate is added. The color of the wells is positively proportional to the IL-10 in it. After adding the stop solution, OD values are measured with ELISA reader. Unknown samples can be calculated from the standard curve.

Specificity and sensitivity

The sensitivity is 0.29 pg/mL as MDD. The specificity is over 99%.

Result determination

The sample OD value is measured by an ELISA reader, then the standard curve is plotted. We recommend 4PL regression model or another equivalent model.

Storage and expiry

2-8 degree Celsius for at least 12 months.
